The panel outlasts the warranty. We hope.

Our warranty is deliberately plain: we cover structural defects and premature decay for fifteen years on every panel that leaves Saint-Jean. Here’s exactly what that means.

Coverage summary
Cedar panels
15-year limited warranty against rot, insect damage, and warp greater than ¼″ per running foot.
PT panels
20-year warranty on the ACQ treatment itself; 15-year warranty on structural integrity (same terms as cedar).
Posts and rails
15-year limited warranty; same terms as the panel collection they support.
Hardware
25-year limited warranty on stainless hardware against corrosion and pin failure.
Heritage / Privacy / Gates
Warranty terms set with first mill run; pre-production buyers grandfathered into launch terms.

Wood is a natural material. A good warranty tells you where its limits are — not just where ours begin.

How to file a claim

Email a photo, keep your receipt, expect a call in 48 hours.

  1. 1. Email claims@northstar.bp with your original invoice, the panel SKU, and a clear daylight photo of the defect.
  2. 2. A regional rep will call you within two business days to schedule a yard or on-site inspection.
  3. 3. Approved claims ship replacements in the next LTL cycle — typically within seven business days.

Full warranty terms filed with the Office de la protection du consommateur du Québec. A printable copy ships inside every pallet.
